Acting as an organization

When you belong to an organization or department, you can switch the dashboard over to that account. While switched, the things you create belong to it rather than to you.

Switch account

1. Click your avatar in the top-right corner.
2. Under Switch account, pick Personal, an Organization or a Department. Departments are listed under their organization.

The Switch account list appears only when you have somewhere to switch to.

While switched, the avatar shows the organization's picture with your own as a small badge, and hovering it reads Acting as … — you are still …. On the home launcher the large avatar changes the same way.

To go back, open the avatar menu and pick Personal.

The last row matters: switching changes ownership, not identity. Permission checks, your points, your notifications and the activity log still use you. Nobody can act as the organization anonymously.

Members of a department work in the department

If you belong to a department of an organization, you are offered that department rather than the organization itself. Only the organization's owner and admins can switch to the bare organization account.

Default networks

Organization and department accounts have one extra setting. While switched, Account Settings → Account Limits shows Default WG networks: the private networks that the account's labs join when a deploy does not choose any. Pick up to four that do not overlap, then Save defaults. See Private networks.
